I set off early today as Sandra was off to work at 9:30 am. I used back roads to get to Clevedon. It was very flat here across the Somerset levels, then I used the Avon cycleway to get up to and over the Severn Bridge (M48). I had taken a wrong turning along the way and ended up on the A403 with large juggernaughts overtaking. I followed another cyclist along this stretch for a little bit of cover before taking a rest.
I just got to Chepstow Tourist Information office in time before it closed. The woman there was very helpful. I bought a couple of maps and was the last to leave.
I stayed at the St. Pierres campsite in Portskewett.
My cycle computer was working today after realigning the wheel sender unit. Distance travelled was 62 miles + 1 mile or so when I forgot to re start the timer. Maximum speed was 29mph.
